Problems after printing

The spell checker no longer underlines misspelled words after printing the document: This is a LibreOffice bug. WritingTool is only an extension of the main program and therefore cannot change anything at this point. The bug has been reported to LibreOffice.

Problems on Linux

Some menus don't display icons: This is a LibreOffice bug that WritingTool unfortunately can't fix. It has been reported to LibreOffice.

WritingTool 26.1 was released on January 17, 2026.

The version can be downloaded here.

WritingTool require Java version 17 or higher now. Detailed descriptions of the requirements can be found here.

The versioning will change with the next release (year.month). The next version will be WritingTool 25.7.
