WritingTool is a LibreOffice extension for LibreOffice that adds a writing assistant to text editing. It is designed for the creation and editing of extensive texts (e.g. for literature, science and business).

This extends LibreOffice with the following functionality:

• Spelling, grammar and style checking based on LanguageTool
• Statistical methods for optimizing texts
• Support for checking, creating and editing texts using AI

By default, the grammar check and statistical analysis are carried out on the local computer. However, it is also possible to operate this functionality remotely via the central LanguageTool server or local, company or government server installations.

WritingTool offers a wide range of setting options.
